White Sox edge Yankees by 1

The Chicago White Sox got a tough win over the New York Yankees yesterday at Us Cellular Field with the White Sox picking up the W 3 to 2. It was one heck of a game that folks with White Sox tickets aren’t likely to forget.

White Sox pitcher Matt Thornton (2.95 ERA) got the win, while Phil Hughes (3.47 ERA) took the loss for the Yankees. Gavin Floyd went 7.2 solid innings for the White Sox, allowed 4 hits, no home runs and one earned run with one walk and 10 strikeouts. Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain (3.58 ERA) got the win, while Matt Garza (3.69 ERA) took the loss for the Rays.
