Yankees fall to Mariners 7-4

The Seattle Mariners did battle with the the New York Yankees yesterday at New Yankee Stadium with the Mariners picking up the W 7 to 4. It was one heck of a game that folks with Mariners tickets aren’t likely to forget.

Mariners pitcher Cliff Lee (2.45 ERA) got the win, while Phil Hughes (3.58 ERA) took the loss for the Yankees. Cliff Lee went 9 solid innings for the Mariners, allowed 8 hits, 2 home runs and 3 earned runs with one walk and 2 strikeouts. The Yankees’s starter Phil Hughes went 5.2 innings, allowed 10 hits, one home run and 6 earned runs with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.
