New York Yankees
It should come as no surprise that the New York Yankees are again in the playoffs, but while last year they entered the post-season looking almost invincible, this year there are a few chinks in their armor. But that hasn’t really affected sales of Yankees playoff tickets at all! Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada are all a year older, and all have struggled at times throughout the season. But the “core four” aren’t nearly the issue as the Yankees starting rotation is. Staff ace CC Sabathia won 20 games and has been electric all, but he is just one man. At some point, Pettitte, AJ Burnett, Javier Vazquez, Phil Hughes, or Joba Chamberlain will need to win a game. They definitely have the talents to get back to selling Yankees World Series tickets, but we’ll see they look after the American League Championship Series plays out. And lets not forget about the rest of the American League playoff picture.
